Note: As explained in the video, the one servo that was misbehaving was due to a loose servo signal connection which was easily resolved.
We will be further improving on the rover design in the future. We designed this rover such that it is very easily upgrade-able and improved. We are working on making it completely modular. We intent to make each drive unit “smart” by incorporating encoders and sensors. We will be equipping this rover with a sleuth of cameras, sensors and actuators so that it can interact with the surroundings. And all of these components will independent modules which the rover main controller will be able to communicate with using I2C or CANBUS. This will essentially make the process of adding functionalities as easy as plug and play.
