Like most people, I enjoy the sound of flowing water. There is a certain feeling of serenity that sound of flowing water induces. A fountain is the easiest way to enjoy this natural music. So to bring these sounds to my workspace, I decided to design a 3D printable miniature fountain that I can place on my work desk and listen to it whenever I want.

Fig.1 and Fig.2 is the 3d printed and assemble desktop fountain. The base of the fountain is also a hollow basin that holds the water used in the fountain. A perforated plate acts as a lid that covers the water basin. This plate has a lot of holes that allow water to pass through back into the water basin but stops larger objects like decor ornaments from falling in. The plate and the water basin have a built in channel that allows for easy routing of the wire for the usb powered submersible water pump (Fig.4) that is installed inside the water basin. This water pump takes water from the water basin and pumps it through the hollow water channels (Fig.3) in the structure of the fountain to the fountain outlet. This water then go over the outlet walls and fall down to create the beautiful sounds of a water fountain.

Fig.3 shows the fountain with marble stones added on the perforated lid as decor.
